Finally, we know the launch date of iQOO 13. Soon after the launch of Snapdragon 8 Elite, iQOO confirmed that iQOO 13 will be launched in China on October 30. The event is scheduled for October 30, 2024, in Shenzhen at 16:00. Vivo China has also added a dedicated page on the official website confirming the design, key specs, and launch date. The page also has a trailer video along with a tagline saying “The flagship of the year has arrived!”
iQOO 13 will come with a sleek and modern design that feels similar to its predecessor. The phone has a flat display and flat edges. The camera housing features a squircle design with LED ring around it. This light could be used for notifications and low-light photos. iQOO has also confirmed four color options: Manx Green, White Legend, Black Race Track, and Nardo Grey.
The phone is powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite to offer high-end performance and AI features. The phone will also include a Q2 gaming chip for offering PC-level 2K texture super-resolution and native 144FPS super-frame. The large ultra-large area VC heat spreader and multi-layer graphene sheet are also there for improved gaming. The SoC is paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. It will also pack a 6,150mAh battery and 120W fast charging.
The smartphone will come with a 6.78-inch BOE Q10 8T LTPO 10-bit 144 Hz OLED display with good PWM dimming. The camera setup will offer 50 megapixels IMX 921 1/1.56” OIS Main camera, 50 megapxiels JN1 1/2.76” Ultrawide camera, and 50 megapxiels IMX 826 OIS 2X normal telephoto camera. It should also feature 32 megapxiels selfie camera.
iQOO 13 also received Indian BIS certification confirming the possible India launch soon. Nipun Marya, CEO of iQOO India, also shared a teaser on X confirming the India launch.
It seems the rumored December 5 India launch date is accurate.
The smartphone will run OriginOS 5 in China. However, the global version of the phone will come with Funtouch OS. The same will be true for the Indian variant.
