At its annual Snap Partner Summit, Snapchat introduced a new AI video-generation tool ‘Snap AI Video’ for creators. Like other AI video-generation tools, Snap AI Video will let creators generate videos from text prompts.
During the keynote, the company demonstrated how this tool works without revealing anything about the model it uses. All the content created with Snap’s AI Video toll will include a watermark. So, everyone knows that the video is AI-generated.
This tool is now available on the web starting today for a limited number of creators. With this limited release, the company will maintain control over the quality and will optimize it based on performance.
Google Deepmind, OpenAI, Meta Ai, and Stability AI have already been working on AI models capable of generating realistic videos from text. Although Snap made a late entry, it is quick to make this tool available to users. Snapchat is already a fun platform where users use Snapchat lenses and filters to capture interesting Snaps. With this new Snap AI Video, they can have an even better experience on Snapchat.
