SurveyLama, a popular online paid surveys platform, suffered a data breach in February 2024. This data breach exposed the data of 4.4 million users. The data breach was reported by Have I Been Pwned (HIBP) which warns users about data breaches.

As per the information, the data breach exposes full names, passwords, phone numbers, addresses, email, dates of birth, and IP addresses. The good thing is that passwords were stored in encrypted format, so they aren’t usable.

Troy Hunt, HIBP’s creator, received the information about the data breach back in February. He also contacted SurveyLama and received a confirmation from the, SurveyLama said that it had already notified users via email.

If you have an account on SurveyLama, you should reset reset password. If you use the same password on other services, change passwords there as well.

SurveyLama is owned by the French company Globe Media. It pays registered users for participating in surveys. The company is known for its quick payments and large rewards. Users can withdraw their earnings through PayPal transfers or Amazon gift cards.
