Samsung has today unveiled the improved version of LPDDR5X RAM and claims it is the fastest LPDDR5X RAM yet. It runs at 10.7Gbps and boasts a 25% performance improvement over the previous LPDDR5X RAM.

This new LPDDR5X RAM brings a lot more than just performance improvement. It is built on a 12nm class process. So, it increases capacity by 30%. It now supports a 32GB capacity on a single package. This makes it good for on-device AI that requires high-performance, high-capacity and low-power memory.
This new RAM aims at smartphones, services, AI PCs, AI accelerators, and other applications.
Samsung will start the mass production of this new LPDDR5X RAM by the 2nd half of 2024. It is worth noting that the company is already working on its next-generation LPDDR6 RAM.
