Nothing has launched its latest smartphone Nothing Phone (2a) in India. The phone comes with a 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz display, Dimensity 7200 Pro processor, up to 12GB RAM, 50+50 MP rear camera, 32MP selfie camera, and a 5000 mAh battery. The phone starts at Rs. 23,999 in India.
Nothing Phone (2a) features a 6.7-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 30-120Hz adaptive refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. The display supports 10-bit color and HDR10+. It has a 700 nits typical brightness and 1300 nits peak brightness. There is also Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection to avoid scratches and protect the display from accidental drops.
The phone packs an Octa Core MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro processor and Mali-G610 MC4 GPU. It has LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. The company offers three models 8+128GB, 12+256GB, and 12+512GB.
Nothing Phone (2a) runs Android 14 with Nothing OS 2.5 out of the box. The company promises 3 Android OS updates and 4 years of security patches every 2 months.
The rear camera has 50 megapixels primary camera with OIS and 50 megapxiels 114° ultra-wide camera. The phone has Action Mode and supports up to 40 30fps video recording. For selfies, it has 32 megapixels front-facing camera.
Nothing Phone (2a) has an optical in-display fingerprint sensor. It also has Stereo speakers and supports USB Type-C Audio.
The phone is IP54 Splash resistant and measures 161.74x 76.32x 8.55mm. it weighs 190 grams. Nothing Phone (2a) comes in White and Black colors. The back design is inspired from Massimo Vignelli’s New York subway map. The company has used the plastic back as opposed to glass backs that were used in previous Nothing phones. Nothing Phone (2a) has glyph LEDs on the back and has 26 addressable LED lighting zones.
Connectivity options are 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11ax (2.4GHz/5GHz) MIMO, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, USB Type-C, and NFC. The phone packs a 5000mAh battery and supports 45W wired charging. Nothing Phone (2a) charges up to 50% in just 20 minutes and 100% in 59 minutes. Nothing claims that the phone can maintain over 90% of its maximum capacity after 1,000 charging cycles.
