iQOO today launched its latest smartphone iQOO Z9 5G in India. iQOO Z9 5G is the successor to last year’s iQOO Z7 in India. iQOO Z9 5G features 6.67-inch 90Hz display, Dimensity 7200 processor, 8GB RAM, 50+2 MP rear camera, and 5000mAh battery. The phone starts at Rs. 21,999.
iQOO Z9 5G features a 6.67-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate. The display supports HDR 10+ and boasts up to 1800 nits peak brightness. It also has DT-Star2 Glass Protection to protect the display from scratches.
The smartphone runs Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14. The company also promises 2 years of OS updates and three years of monthly security patches.
The phone packs Octa Core MediaTek Dimensity 7200 4nm processor and Mali-G610 MC4 GPU. It has 8GB LPDDR4x RAM along with 128GB or 256GB (UFS 2.2) storage. Internal storage is also expandable up to 1TB with microSD. The phone also supports an extended RAM feature that can expand RAM up to 16GB by using virtual RAM expansion.

The rear camera setup of iQOO Z9 5G includes a 50 megapixels primary camera with Sony IMX882 sensor, and OIS. It also has 2 megapixels depth camera. The camera can also record 4K 30fps videos. For selfies, the phone also has 16 megapixels front camera that supports 1080p video recording.
iQOO Z9 5G has an in-display fingerprint sensor. It also has 5G, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11 ax (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.3, GPS/ GLONASS/ Beidou, and USB Type-C connectivity. It also includes accelerometer, ambient light sensor, e-compass, gyroscope, and proximity sensor. There is an in-display fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication. It also includes dual stereo speakers that promise good audio.
The phone packs a 5000mAh battery with 44W fast charging. iQOO claims to deliver up to 67.78 hours of music playback time and up to 17 hours of YouTube video playback time on a single charge. The company promises to charge the battery from zero to 50 percent in just 31 minutes.
The phone has a good design and features a plastic build. It comes in Graphene Blue and Brushed Green colors. It measures 163.17×75.81×7.83mm and weighs 188g. The IP54 rating also makes the phone dust and splash restart.
