iQOO just launched its latest smartphone iQOO Z7 5G in its Z series of smartphones in India. This is the successor to last year’s iQOO Z6. The phone features a 6.38-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, Dimensity 920, up to 8GB RAM, 128GB storage, 64+2 MP rear camera, 16MP selfie camera, and 4500mAh battery. The phone starts at Rs. 18999.
iQOO Z7 5G faetures a 6.38-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate. The display supports HDR10+ and has up to 1300 nits peak brightness. It also has Schott Xensation Glass protection to protect the display from scratches. There’s a U-shaped notch at the top center of the display for the selfie camera.

The phone packs Octa Core MediaTek Dimensity 920 6nm processor and Mali-G68 MC4 GPU. It comes in 6GB or 8GB LPDDR4x RAM. The iQOO Z7 5G also has 128GB internal storage that is further expandable up to 1TB with a microSD card.
The phone runs Funtouch OS 13 based on Android 13 out of the box. iQOO promises 2 years of OS updates and three years of monthly security patches.
The rear camera setup of iQOO Z7 5G includes 64 megapixels primary camera and 2 megapixels depth camera. The phone can record 4K 30fps videos. For selfies, the phone has 16 megapixels front-facing camera.
iQOO Z7 5G features an in-display fingerprint sensor. Connectivity options include 5G, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11 ax (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.2, GPS/ GLONASS/ Beidou, and USB Type-C. It also has single bottom-ported speakers and features a 3.5mm audio jack. I am not sure why the company didn’t ditch the 3.5mm headphone jack.
The phone packs a 4500mAh battery with 44W fast charging. It can be charged up to % in 25 minutes.
iQOO Z7 5G features a plastic back and It also has diagonal gradient patterns running across the rear panel. The phone comes with an IP54 rating for splash resistant body. It measures 158.91×73.53×7.8mm and weighs 173g.
