Nothing has today confirmed that its upcoming budget smartphone Nothing Phone (2a) will feature MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro SoC. This SoC has been engineered by MediaTek in partnership with Nothing for seamless performance and improved power efficiency.
As the name suggests, Dimensity 7200 Pro is an updated version of Dimensity 7200. It is a 4nm SoC and has the same 2.8GHz clock speed as in the predecessor. The company has tuned it to make it 10% more power efficient. The SoC features an octa-core CPU with 2x Arm Cortex-A715 cores and 6x Arm Cortex-A510 cores.
Nothing Phone (2a) will come with up to 12GB of RAM along with an additional 8GB of virtual RAM.
The SoC has also helped the company to provide improved transfer speeds between Phone (2a) and Windows PCs. Nothing has also optimized Nothing OS for this SoC for better performance and lower power consumption.
Nothing Phone (2a) will be officially announced on March 5.
