Google has now rebranded Bard as Gemini. Now if you open bard.google.com, it redirects to gemini.google.com. Google also shows a message to notify users about rebranding. Gemini is the name of the model that powered the Bard chatbot. The Gemini AI model is the base of Google’s AI offerings

Gemini will also replace Duet AI in Workspace for cloud customers. It will help companies boost productivity.

Google has also released the Gemini Android app on the Play Store. If you download the Gemini app on your phone, you can replace Google Assistant as the default assistant on your phone. So saying “Hey Google” or long press on one button will fire Gemini. The iOS users can access Gemini on the Google app.

Google has also introduced Gemini Advanced dubbed Gemini Ultra, a paid version of Gemini. It will be available through a new $20 Google One tier offering 2TB of storage and other Google One features.

Gemini Advanced is powered by Google’s largest and most capable AI model, Ultra 1.0. Gemini Advanced is more capable of highly complex tasks like coding, logical reasoning, and more. It can help creators generate fresh content, developers write codes, and more.

Gemini Advanced is being launched in more than 150 countries but only in English. The company will soon add support for other languages.
