At CES 2024, Lenovo showcased a range of new laptops including ThinkBook 13x Gen 4 SPE. This laptop comes with a cool color-changing top cover.
This is a proof-of-concept laptop that has a top cover with an E-ink exterior display. This E-ink exterior display supports a variety of different colors and patterns. It even has a dynamic clock design that looks cool. Lenovo claims that the external display supports thousands of images. It can also keep working even if the laptop is powered off.
It is an E-ink display, so it consumes a very small amount of power. Lenovo claims that this exterior display won’t impact the battery life.
It is still a concept laptop. So, I can’t confirm when it could be available for consumers.
