Infinix has launched its latest budget smartphone Infinix SMART 8 in India. This is a budget phone and features a 6.6-inch 90Hz display, Helio G36 SoC, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, dual rear camera, 8 MP selfie camera, and 5000 mAh battery. The phone starts at Rs. 7499.
Infinix SMART 8 features a 6.6-inch HD+ display with 1612 x 720 pixels resolution, 500 nits of brightness, 90Hz refresh rate, and 180Hz touch sampling. The display has a hole punch for the selfie camera.
The phone runs 180Hz touch sampling out of the box. Infinix claims that the UI ensures smooth and intuitive user interface. It is also optimized for better performance. The UI also has a Magic Ring that offers Face Unlock, Background Call, Charging Animation, Charge Completion Reminder, and Low Battery Reminder around the selfie camera. This feature is similar to Apple’s Dynamic Island.
SMART 8 packs Octa-Core MediaTek Helio G36 12nm processor and IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU. The phone packs 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and supports up to 3GB of virtual RAM. It also has 64GB eMMC 5.1 storage that is further expandable up to 2TB.
The rear camera setup includes 50 megapixels primary camera and an AI camera. There is also Quad LED Ring flash to assist in low light. For selfies, the phone has 8 megapixels front camera. The phone also has an LED flash at the front for low-light selfies.
It has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Connectivity options include Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C. Infinix SMART 8 packs a 5000mAh battery.
Infinix SMART 8 comes in Timber Black, Shinny Gold, Galaxy White, and Rainbow Blue colors. It measures 163.6×75.6×8.5mm and weighs 189g.
Infinix SMART 8 is priced at Rs. 7,499 and will be available from Flipkart starting from January 15th. For a limited time, there will also be a 10% discount on ICICI Bank and Bank of Baroda cards bringing the effective price to Rs. 6749.
