Sony’s cool new virtual reality headset, the PlayStation VR2, is finally in INdia after launching in the US about 10 months ago. You can get the headset and controllers for Rs. 57,990. If you want more, there’s a bundle called Horizon Call of the Mountain for Rs. 61,999.

It will be available from major online retail stores including Flipkart, Amazon, Croma, Reliance Digital, Vijay Sales, Shop at SC, and more. But, there’s a small hitch – not many online shops have it in stock right now. At the moment, only Amazon and e2z Store have it, and e2z Store only has the basic version. Other sites let you book it early or notify you when it’s available. Right now, if you buy from Amazon, you get an 8% discount, making it Rs. 54,990, which is the same as a PS5 with a Blu-ray player.

If you prefer digital games, you can check out the PlayStation Store, where you can buy the Horizon spin-off for Rs. 3,999. It’s a cool game where you play as Ryas, a warrior in the Horizon universe, solving mysteries and meeting familiar characters.

While gamers are excited about the VR2, some people who ordered the special Spider-Man 2 Collector’s Edition in June are still waiting. Sony hasn’t said anything official about why it’s taking so long.

The PlayStation VR2 boasts a 4,000 x 2,040 OLED panel resolution (2000 x 2040 per eye), operating at 90Hz or 120Hz refresh rates for seamless gameplay. Notable features include a 110-degree FOV, a see-through toggle for environmental awareness, and an innovative sensor system that eliminates the need for external tracking cameras. The sensory feature further enhances the gaming experience by leveraging motor vibrations to simulate intense situations within the virtual world.

As the PlayStation VR2 is becoming available in India, gamers can look forward to an awesome experience with virtual reality.
