At Lenovo Tech World’23., Motorola unveiled a new prototype smartphone with flexible display technology. The company didn’t talk much about the phone, as the primary focus was to show the bendable display.

The adaptive display can bend to any angle you want. It can be wrapped around your wrist to wear like a smartwatch. The phone has a standard 6.9-inch display and can be transformed into a more compact 4.6-inch display.

Motorola also demonstrated a few AI features. The company developed generative AI to run on the device and let users personalize their phones the way they want. Users can upload photos of their outfits and create a unique AI-generated photo to use a wallpaper.

Motorola has developed MotoAI that processes data locally on the device for privacy. It AI model learns and adapts while protecting privacy. MotoAI offers natural voice or text interaction for several tasks including answering questions, drafting messages, and more.

The company also showed a real-time document-scanning feature powered by an AI model. It scans a document and enhances document quality. Motorola also developed an AI text summarization to boost productivity.

Motorola has also made it easy to capture screenshots of chats and social media posts. The device can automatically identify and blur sensitive information in screenshots of chats and social media posts.

Motorola’s software features could be the part of upcoming flagship phones. The concept phone with bendable display is still a prototype. So, we cannot say when the phone will become a reality. The company has a history of working on bendable and foldable phones. Motorola already has foldable razr phones that are impressive.
