Twitch is getting Stories and a feed for discovering new streamers

Twitch is getting Stories and a feed for discovering new streamers

Although it is too late in the party, Twitch is finally adding Stories. At TwitchCon 2023, The company announced that the company will let users record Stories soon. Once the feature is live, Stories will be shown on the Following page of the Twitch mobile app. Creators will get the option to limit the visibility of their Stories to only people who follow them.

Stories will include video clips, photos, text updates, and polls. Stories will be launched in October. Twitch also promises to add more features to Stories over the next year.

Twitch has also confirmed its plans to introduce a new Discovery Feed for making it easier for creators to grow on the platform. The discovery Feed will also be available on the mobile app and will show both live and recorded content.

Discovery Feed will be available later this fall. Before the full launch, the company also run experiments with limited versions of Feed to test and improve algorithms.

The company has also introduced several improvements to the Clip Editor. Newly added features including trimming and the ability to grant access to your video editors. Beginning in August, users can mark Clips as featured in Creator Dashboard. The platform will prioritize showing Featured Clips in several places including the Discovery Feed,
