Two days ago, Krafton confirmed the return of Battlegrounds Mobile India in India. Now the game has also been listed on the Play Store for Indian users. Gamers, who have been waiting for this game desperately, can now download it on their Android devices.

It all started back in 2020 when the Indian Government banned PUBG Mobile along with other 117 Chinese apps. PUBG Mobile was accused of sharing data with its Chinese division. In July 2021, Krafton released the Indian version of PUBG under the new name Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). BGMI was similar to PUBG Mobile but with Indian elements. BGMI also promised to keep Indian users’ data within Indian servers.

BGMI was also removed from the Play Store and App Store following orders from the Indian government. After months of negotiations, Krafton managed to convince the Indian government to remove the ban from BGMI.

At this moment, it is not clear what has been changed in the game that has allowed it back to India, A few reports claim that BGMI will now put certain time restrictions to avoid addiction. It has also caved the color of blood from red to non-red color by default.

A few reports also claim that the BGMI relaunch will be supervised for 90 days to serif the game is fit to continue its operations in India.
