At MWC, Motorola had an interesting concept phone called Moto Rizr. This phone features a 5-inch display that expands vertically to a 6.5-inch diagonal. It is a concept phone and there could be some more changes to the phone before it comes to consumers.

There’s a small motor that takes up space in the phone and is responsible to expand the display. The phone is also quite thick and weighs 210g. It also packs a 3,000mAh battery.

Motorola has also customized the software to take advantage of the rollable display. Apps can stretch and change depending on the state of the display. While browsing some apps like YouTube, the display automatically expands the display if the device is held horizontally.

Motorola has not confirmed the specifications. Moto Rizr is also not the final name and it could be changed at the time of consumer launch.
