On March 5, Valve’s popular multiplayer tactical first-person shooter game Counter-Strike: Global Offensive achieved its new all-time concurrent players record. According to SteamDB, The game saw 1,378,447 concurrent players on March 5, 2023. The previous record was set on March 4 when it saw 1365274 concurrent players.

This 11-year-old game is still one of the most popular multiplayer video games with millions of fans. It is also one of the most popular esports games with several professional players earning in millions. Back in February this year, we reported the concurrent peak of 1,320,219 players.

Recently, a well-known esports journalist Richard Lewis also reported about the possible launch of a new version of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. As per the priory, the game could be unveiled by the end of this month. Sources have confirmed that Counter-Strike 2 will have 128 tick servers and will come with an improved matchmaking system.
