Bengaluru-based edtech startup Toddle has raised $17 million in Series A funding led by Sequoia Capital India. Tenacity Ventures and Trifecta Capital along with existing investors Matrix Partners, Beenext, and Better Capital also participated in the round.

The company is now planning to expand into other curricula and it also developing a learning management system for pre-school level educators. Toddle also aims to touch around 10,000 schools in the next five year.

Unlike other edtech companies that provide learning resources outside the school, Toddle operates in the B2B segment and works with schools.

“While most companies are trying to improve education by working outside the school system, we think the real opportunity lies in helping our schools become better,” Deepanshu Arora, Co-founder, and CEO of Toddle said.

Toddle was founded by Deepanshu, Gautam Arora, Misbah Jafary, Nikhil Poonawala, and Parita Parekh in 2019. The company aims to help teachers do their job in a better way. The company claims that more than 40,000 educators from 1,500 schools across 100 countries use Toddle.

The majority of the revenue of the company comes from America, followed by Europe and the Middle East. India only contributes 7-8% of its total revenues.

The company last raised an undisclosed amount in January 2020 from Matrix Partners and Better.
