At CES 2023, Acer introduced an interesting smart bike desk dubbed eKinekt BD3. This product combines a fitness bike and a smart desk to let users charge their devices as they pedal.

When someone pedals the bike desk, it converts the kinetic energy to electrical energy for charging electronic devices. The company notes that one hour of constant cycling at 60 RPM on the bike desk generates 75 watts of power.

The desk also features an LCD display to give you relevant information about your progress. You can also use eKinekt’s Companion App to check information like calories burned, real-time distance covered, power generated, and speed. The desk also has three USB ports to plug in charging cables. It also has a bag hook and beverage holder.

There are two modes: Work and Sports. In Working mode, the desk remains closer to the chair. So, you can sit in an upright position to work and pedal together. In Sports mode, the desk moves forward, so you can lean for added leg space and do the peddling.

Height and seat are adjustable. One can also adjust the bike’s resistance.

Acer eKinekt BD 3 costs NTD 29,000 and will be available in Taiwan in April. For the North American region, it is priced at $999 and will be available in June.
