At Stranger Things Day, Netflix and Tender Claws confirmed that the Stranger Things VR game will be released in Winter 2023 on major VR platforms. Tender Claws is the game studio that is working on the Stranger Things VR game. The studio is known for the narrative game Virtual Virtual Reality (VVR).
Stranger Things VR will be a psychological horror and action game. The game will let you play as Vecna and “enact revenge on Eleven and Hawkins.”
“Play as Vecna in this new Stranger Things adventure in virtual reality. Become an explorer of unknown realities as you form the hive mind and tame the void. Invade minds and conjure nightmares in your quest to enact revenge on Eleven and Hawkins,” says Netflix.
Netflix hosted Stranger Things Day on November 6. The day Will Byers went missing in season one.
