Valve launched Steam Deck in select markets including the US, EU, and Canada a few months ago. This handheld gaming device saw a good response from gamers across the globe. The company has not launched Steam Deck in India, but it should be soon available in the country via the grey market
Gaming industry insider Rishi Alwani tweeted to hint at the India availability and prices.
Rishi also claims that the prices could drop once Valve starts shipping more units. When more units will be available, importers will get units at a cheaper price to sell in the country.
Steam Deck starts at $399 in the US for the base model with 64GB storage. In India, retailers are selling it at almost double the price. If you are interested in getting Steam Deck, you should wait a few more weeks. Valve’s primary target for Steam deck is the US, UK, Europe, and Canada. The device may come to other regions but we cannot guess the timeline.
