Qualcomm has just announced its latest mobile platform Snapdragon 782G. Snapdragon 782G is the upgrade to the Snapdragon 778G+, but there are several similarities.

Snapdragon 782G is a 6nm mobile platform. It has an octa-core Cpu with 1 Kryo 670 Prime core clocked at 2.7GHz, 3 Kryo 670 Gold cores clocked at up to 2.2GHz, and 4 Kryo 670 Silver at up to 1.9GHz. The mobile platform comes with Adreno 642L.

Due to a slight bump in clock speed, the CPU in Snapdragon 782G is around 5% faster and the GPU is 10% faster. It also supports LPDDR5 RAM.

Snapdragon 782G supports FHD+ @ 144 Hz on-device display and up to 4K @ 60 Hz external display. The display also supports HDR10+ and HDR10.

782G supports Quick Charge 4+ fast charging, the same Qualcomm Spectra ISP with triple 14-bit ISP support, the same Fused AI Accelerator architecture, and up to 200MP camera. It also has the ability to process up to 2 gigapixels per sec.

The SoC supports both mmWave and Sub-6 GHz frequencies. The Snapdragon X53 modem promises to deter multi-gigabit, truly global 5G. It also offers Wi-Fi 6 up to 2.9 Gbps and Bluetooth 5.2.
