Apple today announced the best apps and games of 2022. BeReal was named the best iPhone app of the year and Apex Legends Mobile was the best game of the year 2022. Fitness tracker Gentler Streak was the best Apple Watch app of the year.
“This year’s App Store Award winners reimagined our experiences with apps that delivered fresh, thoughtful, and genuine perspectives,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO.

- Mac App of the Year: MacFamilyTree 10
- Apple TV App of the Year: ViX
- Apple Watch App of the Year: Gentler Streak
- iPhone Game of the Year: Apex Legends Mobile
- iPad Game of the Year: Moncage
- Mac Game of the Year: Inscryption
- Apple TV Game of the Year: El Hijo
- Apple Arcade Game of the Year: Wylde Flowers
- China Game of the Year: League of Legends Esports Manager
Apple has also selected five Cultural Impact winners.
Apple’s App Store has more than 3.59 billion apps. So, it is a big achievement for these 16 apps to get recognition from Apple.
