Tata Group has now officially launched its much-awaited super app Tata Neu for everyone. The app aims to offer most digital services such as online shopping, grocery, pharmacy, UPI payments, flights booking, and more in one place. This is the reason it is called super app. The company has been testing the app with Tata employees for the past few months.
Tata has integrated most of its own brands such as Air Asia, BigBasket, Croma, IHCL, Qmin, Starbucks, Tata 1Mg, Tata CLiQ, Tata Play, and Westside into the app. The company has also confirmed that it will soon bring Vistara, Air India, Titan, Tanishq, and Tata Motors to Tata Neu.
Tata started advertising the app officially for the first time during the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) tournament. Tata is the official sponsor of IPL 2022.
“Tata Neu is an exciting platform that gathers all our brands into one powerful app. Combining our traditional consumer-first approach with the modern ethos of technology, it is an all-new way to discover the wonderful world of Tata,” Chandrasekaran, Tata Sons Chairman, said.
Tata Neu app offers most products that you can purchase online. On the home screen, it has several categories including Grocery, Electronics, Fashion, Beauty, Hotels, Flights, Food, Health, and entertainment. So, it is much like Amazon and Flipkart which also now offer products across several categories.
On each purchase through the app, you earn NeuCoins. The app says that 1 NeuCoin values at Rs. 1 and there is no limit on how much NeuCoins you earn. It claims to offer a minimum 5% NeuCoins every time you shop. You can then use the NeuCoins on this app for further shopping.
There is also a dedicated offers section where you can find deals across several categories.
The app also has UPI payments option just like any other payments app. You can enable the UPI and then start scanning QR codes at any shop or send payments to your friends. In the payments section, you will also get options to pay electricity, mobile, DTH, broadband bills, and recharges.
In the Finance section, you can check for available loan offers, insurance, credit scores, and digital gold.
Tata neu app is now available for everyone through Play Store and App Store. Download and create an account using your phone number. Then start shopping.
Tata Neu is not the first app that offers everything in one place. We already have Amazon and Paytm Mall apps where you get all kinds of digital services, bill payments, tickets, payments, and more in one place. So, it will be interesting to see how Tata manages to compete against rivals. Rewards on every transaction and NeuCoins make the app interesting.
