Starting today, Instagram creators can assign someone a moderator in Live sessions to handle the problem of distasteful comments. Moderators can turn off comments from a user, report comments, and kick trolls out from the stream.

This will also help the creator in focusing on live sessions and content instead of wasting time on trolls. It will also reduce toxic comments during Instagram Live.

Adding a moderator is really easy. During the live session, tap the menu icon on the comment bar and search for the person to make a moderator.

We first heard about this back in November last year when it was reported that the company is testing moderator for a live video. Now the company is making it available to all creators across the globe.
