YouTube is now rolling out a new video player for its mobile apps. The new video player has improved UI with an aim to provide easier access to like, dislike, comments, and share buttons. It will certainly save some effort. You will feel the change when you are watching a video on full screen.

When you are watching a video on full screen, you will see a row of icons in the bottom left corner. On the right, there’s an option to see recommended content. Music videos are also getting the listening controls tab.

In the new UI, comments open on the right side and you can keep watching the video and read the comments. In the old UI, you had to tap on the comment section while you are in portrait mode. So, it has become much easier now.

The new UI is being rolled out to both Android and iOS. It will be available to all users in the coming days. Most people I know already got the new UI of the YouTube video player.
