Facebook Messenger is getting a few new privacy-related features. Now end-to-end encryption is also available for groups chats and calls. The company has also added a new “Screenshot Notification” feature that notifies if someone takes a screenshot of disappearing messages.

The company has brought all features such as GIFs, stickers, and reactions to encrypted chats too. So, you can enjoy most of the features while using end-to-end encrypted chats. Previously, users had to between end-to-end encrypted chats and having all functions available on a chat.

If you are on end-to-end encrypted chats and capture a screenshot of the chat, the app will notify other users that a screenshot has been taken. This is something Snapchat has been offering for a long time.

It is also getting the ability to reply to a certain message in end-to-end encryption chats. You can either long-press the message or swipe to reply. This is already available on WhatsApp and Instagram DMs.

The app also now shows Verified Badge in end-to-end encrypted chats. You also get the ability to save media and the option to edit photos or videos before sending in the chat.
