Telecom operator Airtel has today hiked prepaid plans in the country. After a 25% increase in the prices, prepaid plans now start at Rs. 99 for 28 days. The company claims that the price hike has been done for a financially healthy business model.

The most affordable plan was of Rs. 79 but it now costs Rs. 99. This plan offers Rs. 99 talk time and 200MB data. Most premium plan now costs Rs. 2999 as opposed to Rs. 2498.
The company has also increased the prices of data top-up plans by 20%.
These new plans come into effect starting from November 26th. Other telecom operators have not announced any price hike but we can also expect a price hike from other operators.
