Instagram now lets every user share links in Stories. Previously, this was pony available to verified accounts or accounts with more than 10,000 followers.

The company replaced the swipe-up links with a link sticker back in August. So, any Instagram user can now use a link sticker to share external URLs through Stories.

The primary reason for replacing the Swipe-up link with the link sticker is interaction. Users can now reply to stories with link stickers, unlike swipe-up link Stories where interaction wasn’t possible.

To add a link to the Instagram story, select the sticker tool from the top navigation bar while creating the story. In stickers, tap the “Link” sticker to add your desired link and tap “Done”.

Instagram has also confirmed that new accounts and accounts that repeatedly share things like hate speech and misinformation won’t get access to Link sticker. This rule has been added to limit harmful content on Instagram.
