Samsung just announced two new smartphone camera sensors ISOCELL HP1 and ISOCELL GN5.

ISOCELL HP1 sensor is a 200 megapixels camera sensor with a 0.64μm pixel sensor. This first mobile camera sensor to support 200 megapixels. It also features all-new ChameleonCell technology that uses a two-by-two, four-by-four, or full pixel layout depending on the environment.

For improved low-light photos, it combines 16 neighboring pixels to form a large 2.56μm pixels and behaves like a 12.5 megapixels image sensor. This new large sensor will be capable of more light absorption and sensitivity. This sensor can record up to 8K videos at 30 fps without any sort of crop.

Samsung ISOCELL GN5 sensor is the first 1.0-micron image sensor to integrate Dual Pixel Pro all-directional autofocusing technology. There are one million phase-detecting multi-directional photodiodes covering all areas of the sensor. This results in ultra-fast autofocus and enables sharper photos in all kinds of environments. This sensor has 1.0μm pixels.

We have no information on when these sensors will be available for smartphone OEMs. Currently, these sensors are available for sampling. So, we may see smartphones with these sensors by next year.
