MG is bringing AI in cars with the upcoming MG Astor

MG Motor India has unveiled its upcoming MG Astor SUV for the Indian market. MG Astor will be on display at MG showrooms across the country starting September 19 and bookings will begin after that.

MG Astor will be India’s first SUV with a personal AI assistant and first-in-segment Autonomous (Level 2) technology. This car comes with several subscriptions and services including Maps, Navigations, Jio connectivity, Blockchain-protected vehicle digital passport, music, and 80+ internet features.

The company has not compromised with safety and security and offers 27 standard safety features like ESP, TCS, and HDC. The car has 6 airbags, 6-way power-adjustable driver seats, heated ORVM, electric parking brake, rain-sensing wiper, 10.1-inch HD infotainment system, panoramic sky roof, and PM 2.5 filter.

MG Astor comes with a personal AI assistant that depicts human-like emotions and voice. The company has used the voice of Paralympic athlete Deepa Malik.

The car will be offered n two engine options. The first one is Brit Dynamic 220 TURBO petrol engine with a 6-speed AT delivering a whopping 220Nm of torque and 140ps of power. Another is VTi Tech petrol engine with manual transmission & an 8-speed CVT, delivering 144Nm of torque and 110ps of power. The car also boasts elegant exteriors and luxurious interiors.

The company has yet to reveal pricing details of MG Astor.
