Along with the new iPad, Apple also announced an all-new iPad Mini at Apple Event.
Apple iPad mini is Apple’s smallest tablet. It features an 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display. The display has 500 nits of brightness, anti-reflective screen coating, True Tone, and full lamination. The new iPad mini also has stereo speakers. Volume buttons have been moved to the top of the device.
It packs an A15 Bionic chip, the same that is powering iPhone 13 series. This new chip boasts 40% performance improvements and an 80% leap in graphics performance compared to the previous generation iPad Mini.
The newer version comes with slimmer bezels while retaining the traditional build. It has an upgraded rear and front camera. There’s a new 12MP ultrawide selfie camera and It also bales Apple’s Center Stage feature.
Apple’s new iPad mini supports 5G and Wi-Fi 6. It also works with a second-generation Apple Pencil that attaches magnetically to the side of the chassis.
Just like in last year’s iPad Air, this new tablet has Touch ID sensor in the power button located at the top. Apple has also replaced the Lightning port with a USB-C port.
It starts at $499. You can order it today and it will be available starting next week.
