Yesterday, India celebrated its 75th Independence day and remembered freedom fighters who fought the colonial occupation. To celebrate the day, popular photo editing platform Picsart has introduced two more regional languages to its platform. The app was already available in Hindi and Bengali. Now it is also available in Marathi and Tamil.

The company has also added four new Indian text fonts, Indian music, several exciting stickers, and replays. Users can use these elements to create special photos and show their love for the country. Picsart says that the new elements will help people in expressing the country’s diversity in the most creative way possible.

“75th Independence Day is both special and emotional for all Indians. It reminds us of the sacrifices many made to get us here. Picsart is proud to be a part of the celebration and celebrates it by introducing two new languages Marathi and Tamil in the app alongside the existing languages of Hindi and Bengali. In doing so, Picsart aims to reach the local communities to help encourage them to create content in major Indian languages and share with the world”, said Ravish Jain, Country head at Picsart, India.

Picsart app is free to download but users need to purchase Picsart Gold on a monthly or annual subscription for enjoying powerful editing and premium elements.
