We were expecting the price cut on existing LG phones after the company announced its decision to shut down the mobile division. Now LG has announced a massive price cut on LG Wing. The phone was launched at Rs. 69,990 but will be available at just Rs. 29,999 on Flipkart starting April 13.

LG is also promising a one-year warranty and five-year service for the LG Wing. That means the company is offering support even if it won’t be in the smartphone business.

LG Wing is a unique phone that comes with a swivel design. It features a 6.8-inch HD+ pOLED primary display that swivels 90 degrees to reveal another 3.9-inch display. The Swivel mode helps users in getting better multitasking.

It packs Snapdragon 765G and is paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The phone has a triple camera setup that includes 64 megapixels primary camera, 13 megapixels wide-angle camera and 12 megapixels ultra-wide Gimbal camera. It also includes a 32 megapixels pop-up selfie camera.

The phone is IP54 water and dust-resistant. It is also MIL-STD 810G certified to promise durability. LG Wing packs a large 4000 mAh battery with Quick Charge 4.0+ fast charging support.

LG also offered a similar discount on LG G8X ThinQ last year and the phone saw a huge response from consumers. Now LG Wing is up for sale at a discount. LG could do well in the Indian market if it were right on the pricing. In place of launching smartphones at a huge price and later selling them at discount, the company could launch phones with an aggressive price tag.
