Instagram has launched a new feature for content creators in India. The feature is called ‘Instagram Live Rooms’ and enables creators to go live with up to 3 additional people.

Before officially launching the feature, the company also did early rests in India and found positive feedback.

In order to use Instagram Live Room, you will have to go live on Instagram. Once you are live, you can tap the Camera/Rooms icon to add more people to your live session. As the feature aims for greater audience engagement, the company has taken care of safety measures.

Instagram Live is already popular in India among creators. It also grew 60 percent on a week-on-week basis in March. Now when you can go live with up to three guests, you can create more engaging content. Multiple creators can collaborate and create an engaging live session.

“From the launch of Reels, to the testing and rollout of Live Rooms, India is playing a crucial role in the way products are being designed for the future,” Ajit Mohan, Vice President and Managing Director, Facebook India, said in a statement.

Instagram is now rolling out this feature in India and Indonesia. It should reach to all users by the end of this week.
