COVID-19 ruined the year 2020 and forced us to sit at home. The pandemic affected most of the countries across the globe Several people died, several people lost their jobs and it pushed several economies to the recession. There’s nothing good in 2020. So, YouTube has decided to cancel the Rewind 2020 video.

YouTube took Twitter to make this announcement. It basically said that they are 2020 sucked, so it doesn’t make sense to look back on anything from the year. The company is “taking a break,” indicating Rewind will be back at some point in the future. YouTube has also thanked content creators who keep the platform engaging and post valuable videos.

YouTube releases Rewind video every year since 2010 to look back at the most impactful videos, creators, and trends. Most creators and users supported the call. There is of course some people who think there are still so many things to be positive about.
