CD Projekt Red has confirmed that they will be launching a “visually and technically enhanced” version of The Witcher 3 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X in 2021. The next-gen version of the game will take advantage of the most powerful gaming hardware to offer faster load times and ray-traced visuals.
The Witcher 3 is coming to the next generation!
A visually and technically enhanced version of the game will be available for purchase for PC and next-gen consoles & as a free update for owners of the game on PC, @Xbox One and @PlayStation 4.
The next-gen edition of The Witcher 3 will be available as a standalone game for PC, Xbox Series X, and PlayStation 5. But, all existing players who own the game on current-generation consoles will get a free update.
CD Projekt Red didn’t confirm the timeframe. The studio is already working to release Cyberpunk 2077 for the same platforms by November. Let’s see if it manages to release Cyberpunk 2077 in time and then The Witcher 3.
