Microsoft has announced that the popular shooter game Doom Eternal is coming to Xbox Game Pass. It will be included in the subscription for consoles starting October 1 and for PC before the end of 2020.

Microsoft recently became the owner of the Doom franchise with its purchase of ZeniMax Media. ZeniMax Media is the parent company of several gaming studios including Bethesda and id Software. So, more games could be on the way to Xbox Game Pass.

Doom Eternal is the sequel to the game Doom launched back in 2016. Doom Eternal was released this year back in March 2020. Doom Eternal is a shooting game where you play the role of a Slayer and battles demons to save humanity. The game will also get its first expansion “Ancient Gods Part 1” on October 20.

Bethesda has already promised free next-generation upgrades for the game. That means Xbox Series X and Series S owners will also get the updated version of the game under the Game Pass subscription.
