Along with Apple Watch Series 6, Apple has also launched a cheaper smartwatch called Apple Watch SE. It looks like an improved version of Apple Watch Series 3.
Watch SE retains features of Watch Series 3 including fall detection, swim-proof chassis, compass, always-on altimeter, sleep tracking, and Family Setup.
It packs the S5 chip and will offer twice a better performance than Series 3. The watch has the same big display as in Series 6 and also packs an accelerometer, gyroscope, compass, and altimeter. It will also come with the new silicone Solo Loop and yarn braided Solo Loop. The watch will be available in three different cases.
Watch SE runs on watchOS 7 and comes with Fitness Plus. Watch SE will also support Apple’s new Family Setup that lets parents setup and manage Apple Watch of their kids or other family members who do not own an iPhone.
Apple Watch SE starts at $279 and is now available to order starting today. It will be available this Friday.
