India’s popular music streaming service Gaana has also jumped into the short video segment to attract TikTok users. The company has announced HotShots where users can create and share short videos and stories.

“Our app is ready to serve as the country’s go-to destination for entertainment across music, podcasts, short viral videos and buzz, offering aspiring Indians the power to become influencers in their own right with Gaana’s world-class live streaming and short video capabilities,” Prashan Agarwal, CEO, Gaana said in a statement.

You can access HotShots on the existing Gaana app. The app has added the HotShots icon at the bottom navigation bat. Just tap on it and you will be a familiar-looking interface to access short videos of creators.

Gaana already has a large library of music tracks to use on videos. Creators can use any of the song from its catalogue to make their content. The interface is similar to what was in TikTok.

The company has also got success to get several popular TikTok creators on board. TikTok has 200 million users and they left with no platform all of sudden. Now they gave several options to try from Indian companies and developers. Roposo, Chingari, Mintron are some similar short video apps who saw jump in user base recently.
