With iOS 14, Apple introduced several privacy features including indicators on your iPhone or iPad when an app starts using the mic or camera. So, you know if the mic or camera is being used by an app. When you are not using any app, still the dot indicator dot appears, it means an app is invading your privacy.

Several Android apps have been accused of using the mic or camera secretly. So, Android users also wish to have the same kind of privacy option. Access Dots is an interesting Android app that displays a dot in a chosen corner of your screen to tell you if any other app starts using a mic or camera.

You can customize the size, color and location of the dot for camera and microphone. The app works as advertised. As soon as an App starts using camera or mic, the dot appears.

The app also maintains the access log to check when the camera or microphone was accessed, what app was in the foreground and how long did the access last.

The app is free to download. It is a new app and you can expect more features in the coming weeks. I wish the app could also have an option to know the name of the app using the Mic or camera.
