Xiaomi just announced the lasted fitness band Mi Band 5 at an online event in China.

Mi Band 5 comes with a 1.1-inch AMOLED color touch screen display. The display size is 20% bigger than the predecessor. There are also hundreds of customized themes to choose from. It also supports different watch faces. The display has 450 nits of brightness and 2.5D scratch-resistant glass protection.

It is also 5ATM water-resistant and can be used while swimming under 50 meters. The band measures 47.2 x 18.5 x 12.4mm and weighs 11.9g. The NFC variant weighs 12.1g.

Mi Band 5 supports 11 sports modes including outdoor running, walking, cycling, indoor running, swimming, exercise, indoor cycling, elliptical machine, skipping rope, yoga, and rowing machine.

The fitness band also offers 24-hour sleep monitoring and sleep report includes data for quick naps, REM deep sleep, irregular and sporadic sleep patterns. It also has rapid eye movement monitoring. Xiaomi claims that it has improved Sleep monitoring accuracy by 40%.

It also features heart rate monitoring and irregular heart rate movements reporting has been improved by 50% improvement. The fitness band also features stress monitoring, breathing training and PAI (Personal Activity Intelligence).

Xiaomi’s latest fitness band includes Bluetooth 5.0 LE and NFC variant is optional. The NFC model also supports Xiao Ai’s voice assistant.

It packs 125mAh battery with up to 14 days of battery life in typical mode and 20 days in long battery mode.

Mi Band 5 comes in Black color with 6 different colorful straps. It is priced at 189 yuan for the standard variant and 229 yuan for the NFC edition.
