Asus has today announced the availability of ROG Phone II in India. The phone is back in stock starting today with a new price of Rs. 39999.
It is worth noting that the Indian government raised GST on smartphones from 12% to 18% starting April 1. The Indian rupee has depreciated significantly in recent months that has also affected import cost. This is the reason why Asus has to revise the price. The phone was initially launched at Rs. 37999 back in September last year.
Asus has also explained that GST and depreciated rate impact could make the price of ROG Phone II approximately 12% higher. So, it could be Rs. 42,554 but Asus is still bearing the cost and offering the phone at Rs. 39,999.
ROG Phone II is a gaming phone with high-end specs, good display, and good cameras.
