WinZO, the popular gaming platform, claims that it has seen a 10X increase in the game play of Ludo and Carrom board games on its platform during the current lockdown. Ludo and Carrom are popular board games that are now popular on digital avatars.
WinZo is a social gaming platform where people can play games and earn. You can play with any random player or invite your friends in Private modes to play different games. WinZo offers popular board games ale Ludo, Carrom, and Chess where you can also have audio/video chat with other players.
WinZO has also observed a surge of 5X in the private play modes that shows people are also playing these games with their friends. People are now in lockdown living far away from friends and family. So, these online games are helping them to stay in touch and play together.
“In evenings in Calcutta, you can spot people sitting and playing carrom every few meters – it’s almost like an evening regime. Games such as Carrom, Ludo, and Chess are consumed offline hugely. We just made all these available online for people to continue indulging while they also practice social distancing. We have opened every game on the platform for free as well, to help our users to stay connected during this unprecedented time of complete social isolation,” said Paavan Nanda, Co-founder WinZO Games.
