Finally, after 18 months, Epic Games has released its popular game Fortnite to Google Play. The game was already available on Android but interested gamers needed to download it from the official website.

The reason why Epic Games avoided Google Play because they were not happy with Google’s profit-sharing on Google Play. But they are not giving up because running an app without releasing it on Play Store has several disadvantages. Users who want to download or update have to deal with repetitive security pop-ups. Google Play Protect also blocks apps downloaded outside of the Play Store.

Fortnite is a successful game with millions of active users playing the game, but the company is finding it hard to operate the game without releasing it to Google Play.
