OnePlus Pay is now available in China

OnePlus Pay

At the time of launching OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro last year in September, the company also announced its mobile payment service OnePlus Pay. The company didn’t confirm the exact launch date and said it would arrive in 2020. Now the OnePlus Pay is live only for users in China.

The service can be accessed inside the “Wallet” app on OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro. It can also be accessed on double-press the power button.

The service asks users to enter their card details to activate the service. Once activated, OnePlus Pay can be used to make payments using smartphones at POS terminals supporting NFC-based payments. As of now, it only works with the OnePlus 7T series of smartphones, but it will also be available to older NFC-based OnePlus phones.

Customers who own savings card from Guangfa Bank, Minsheng Bank, and SPDB bands or Credit cards from Guangfa Bank and SPDB can use OnePlys Pay.

OnePlus Pay will surely make an entry in other markets in the coming months if condition around the globe goes normal. US, India and several other European countries are suffering the COVID-19 crisis. India is in a complete lockdown situation. This is the reason OnePlus hasn’t confirmed any timeline for the launch in global markets.
