OnePlus 8 Series to come with 5G support

OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has recently confirmed that all phones in the upcoming OnePlus 8 series to come with 5G support. So there will be a price hike.

He further assured that price won’t be anywhere near the $1,000 mark. So, it will be interesting to see how much more consumers will have to pay for the next phones. I am expecting a price hike of up to $100 in both Oneplus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro.

We already know that upcoming OnePlus phones will come with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 865 along with Snapdragon X55 modem to offer flagship performance and 5G support.

OnePlus smartphones are expected to be official sometime in April. So we still have a whole month for leaks about specs and design.

We have already seen the launch of iQoo 3 and Realme X50 Pro 5G in the same segment. Both of these phones support 5G connectivity. So, OnePlus will have a competition this year and talking about fluid display won’t help much this time.
