Xiaomi unveiled Redmi Note 8 series in India last year in October. The Redmi Note 8 comes with good specs and is a good value for money phone. Now the company has increased the price of the base variant by Rs. 500. So, Redmi Note 8 (4GB + 64GB) is now available at Rs. 10,499.

The surprising thing is that there is no official announcement, but the phone’s listings with new prices are now live on mi.com as well as amazon.in. The price for 6GB + 128GB variant is still the same and can be purchased at Rs. 12999.

Since there is no official announcement, we cannot say why the company decided to increase the price of the base variant.

To recall, Redmi Note 8 comes with a 6.39-inch Full HD+ display, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, Octa-Core Snapdragon 665, Adreno 610 GPU, 48MP Quad camera, 13 MP selfie camera, Fingerprint sensor, IR sensor and 4000mAh battery with 18W fast charging.

The phone looks good with a glass body and is available in Neptune Blue, Moonlight White, Cosmic Purple, and Space Black colors. It also features P2i nano-coating for being Splashproof.
