Huawei MatePad Pro 5G

Huawei has announced the 5G version of MatePad Pro tablet dubbed as MatePad Pro 5G. MatePad Pro was originally announced in China last year.

Huawei MatePad Pro 5G comes with a 10.8-inch (2560 x 1600) Quad HD+ display and runs on EMUI 10.0.1 based on Android 10. It has a hole punch at the top left side of the display for the selfie camera. Huawei claims a 90% screen-to-body ratio.

It is powered by Kirin 990 5G processor with ARM Mali-G76MP16 GPU and Dual Big Core + Tiny Core NPUs. It packs 8GB RAM and comes in 256GB or 512GB storage options. Storage is further expandable up to 256GB.

MatePad Pro 5G has 13 megapixels autofocus rear camera with f/1.8 aperture and 8 megapixels front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture.

The tablet also comes with M-Pencil 12 for Graffiti painting, notes, and more. It features a 4096-level pressure sense and 20ms ultra-low latency. It is attached to the top of the tablet with active magnetic pairing. When it is attached to the tablet, the tablet will wirelessly charge it. It supports fast charge and just 30 minutes of charge is enough for 10 hours wiring.

There is also a smart magnetic keyboard with 1.3mm keystrokes. You can open the keyboard to wake up the tablet and close it when not in use to protect the tablet’s display.

It also has Harman Kardon-certified Quad speakers and Huawei Histen sound effects for offering an immersive sound experience. You will love watching videos on it.

MatePad Pro 5G offers 5G / 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.1 LE, GPS, and USB Type-C connectivity. Ir packs 7250mAh battery with 40W HUAWEI super fast charging, 15W wireless charging and 7.5w reverse charging.

MatePad Pro 5G comes in Orange and Forest Green colors. It weighs 492g.

MatePad Pro 5G is priced at 799 Euros and will be available in China and several other markets starting from June.

Huawei also introduced a Wi-Fi only version of the tablet that costs 549 Euros for the 6GB/128GB variant and 749 Euros for the 8GB/256GB variant.
