Samsung’s new Portable SSD T7 Touch features fingerprint security

Samsung is one of the best portable SSD makers in the world. It last launched a portable SSD T5 with 64-layer V-NAND back in August 2017. Now the company has launched the successor with faster speed and better security.

Now the company has launched Samsung SSD T7 Touch with NVMe SSD and USB 3.2 Gen 2. The most notable fear is fingerprint security and AES 256-bit hardware encryption. So, this portable SSD will be good to carry sensitive information. Users will be able to quickly access locked data by holding their finger over the drive’s casing. T7 SSD also features a handy LED light indicator to check if the drive is locked or unlocked. There’s also a regular SSD T7 without Fingerprint security.

Samsung class the read speed of 1,050 MB/s and a write speed of 1,000 MB/s. S, it is twice as fast as the T5.

The SSD features a sleek titanium metal case and it weighs just 58 grams. It can hold up to 2TB of data. The drive will come with a USB Type-C-to-C cable and a USB Type-C-to-A cable. T7 is also compatible with Windows, Mac, and Android. Samsung will offer a three-year limited warranty.

It comes in 500GB, 1TB and 2TB storage options priced at $130, $230, and $400 respectively.
